Despite the type being around in the game for so long, there aren't as many Bat creatures as you would expect
Not background necessarily, but some other line of text that says something along the lines of Whenever you sacrifice a Treasure token, give a creature a +1/+1 counter and trample until end of turn. That would make it a lot more interesting and powerful, but I suppose not every card needs to be great
First, as I mentioned before, it shows that it isn't one or two outlying decks that are giving us this cheap Standardrather than one abnormally inexpensive deck breaking into the top tier of the format and skewing the numbers, this is an across-the-board price decrease that is making playable Standard cards in general less expensive
And it's a bigger 1/2 so it can block a 1/1 and survive
Obsessive Pursuit gives us a way to gain life that, with many of our cards, will drain our opponent
