Personally, I was just having some fun trying to make some whimsical earrings. I named these earrings after Neptune, the blue gaseous planet (other than ours!). Materials are: yellow dyed crescent moon shell, a white mother of pearl star, a dyed blue shell mosaic circle, and gold plated brass ear hooks. Length of the yellow crescent moon earring is 4. 25"
