Vintage Japanese Hand Thrown Signed Ceramic Tea Bowl Chawan Chobadansu This is a unique vintageThis is a vintage Japanese ceramic bowl known as a chawan (tea bowl) used in Japanese chado (tea ceremony). Showa era or mid to late 20th century. This bowl was hand thrown, hand painted, and high fired for lasting durability. This chawan measures approximately 5" in diameter by 3" tall. Having been in carefully stored or very lovingly use, it remains in very fine condition.
